Principles of Online Learning Assessment: A Literature Review Between Western Education Theory and Islamic Education Theory

Purpose – The right assessment strategy can reduce the number of academic dishonesties during online learning in pandemic era. Academic dishonesty is a problem considered normal but has detrimental impact on development nation. Therefore, instructors need to know principles that universities.
 Design/methods/approach This study uses qualitative approach with literature technique. comes from several books, articles, handbooks, and others. procedure used this involves selecting topic, developing themes, problems, searching for database, evaluating based these problems.
 Findings results are form be applied designing activities. First, design student-centered includes self-reflection. Second, include grading rubrics assessing contributions discussion assignments, projects, collaboration itself. Third, collaborative assessment. Fourth, encourage students develop skills providing feedback. Fifth, use techniques appropriate context objectives. Sixth, an clear, easy understand, guaranteed success environment. Seventh, ask input how carried out.
 Research implications contributes regarding process, especially Originality/value Future research should able test find empirical evidence their effectiveness.
